Bring Back Stubbies Fundraising – Join the Stubbie September 2025 Event!
Be part of the Stubbie September 2025 fundraiser! Sign up now and help bring back those iconic kiwi stubbies!
We're on a mission to revive those iconic short shorts your relatives rocked in the 70s and 80s… or maybe still do!
The Cause: Mentors Needed for Kiwi Kids
Right now, over 400 Kiwi kids across the motu are waiting for a positive role model and friend. With your help, we can recruit and train new Mentors for our tamariki. We need Kiwis to get behind us and encourage their workplaces, sports teams, and other groups to get involved.
Time to Dust Off Those Stubbies!
There’s heaps of time to get your shorts dusted off and showcase your winter legs—no fake tan necessary! It’s all just a bit of fun for a good cause. Share your pics on social media with the hashtag #bringbackstubbies.
Relive the Glory Days
Don’t forget to dig out those photos of the relatives at the Sunday BBQ sporting their ‘one size too small’ shorts (with their permission, of course) and share them too. Let’s create a celebration of short shorts in all the little pockets of this fine country.

Empowering Young Kiwis Through Mentorship
Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Zealand is committed to empowering young people by fostering meaningful, one-to-one mentoring relationships.
Our Mission: Building Confidence and Resilience
Through our well-structured programmes, we match children and young people (ages 6-12) with volunteer mentors who provide guidance, support, and positive role models.
The Power of Mentorship
These relationships help build self-confidence, resilience, and social skills, offering young people the tools they need to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Making a Lasting Impact
By connecting youth with caring adults, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Zealand makes a lasting impact on the lives of individuals and the broader community.
